This book has a Classical approach which helps students and practitioners gain in-depth knowledge of Identification of patterns. The pattern is a condition of imbalance caused by a particular pathogen, manifesting into symptoms.
The pattern indicates the process of identifying the basic disharmony that underlies all clinical manifestations. This is the essence of Chinese medical diagnosis and pathology.
As per TCM philosophy, the disease condition is the result of the imbalance in Yin and Yang due to pathogens viz. wind, heat, humidity, dryness, and coldness entering into the body externally or developing in the body internally causing the imbalance in “Vital substances” of the body viz. Qi, Blood, Body Fluids and Essence.
All different possible combinations of patterns of respective organs are discussed in detail along with the tongue and pulse diagnosis, treatment protocols, and treatment procedures. In the treatment protocol, the role of individual points is also discussed. It is also supported by the pathology of the pattern i.e. how these imbalance conditions manifest in different locations of the body. In etiology, the causes of imbalances are discussed. Here the scope of causes is very wide and includes not only the pathological conditions but also the diet, lifestyle, emotions, etc.
At the end of each chapter, the summary of patterns is given for ready reference and comparative study. Also, there is a section named “Points to Remember”, which highlights important points relating to the respective organ.

I found this book very helpful, particularly the way it is logically structured per organ and how it provides case studies followed by sets of acupoints. Thank you for making this available in the UK.

The book is very well designed and very deep knowledge of Acupuncture. I found the book useful for diagnosis. It helps to understand the subject and find the root cause. All the treatment protocols are explained so well with individual point descriptions in particular treatment protocols.
