Yes. This can be combined with other treatments. One can continue their existing treatments but the patient must inform the therapist. In case of disorders like High / Low Blood Pressure, Diabetes the patient should not withdraw the drugs without consulting.
14. Does the needle contain medicines?
The needles do not contain any medicine. The needles are inserted into the specific points of energy pathways.
15. Is there any pain while inserting the needle?
Usually, there is no pain while insertion. But in some conditions, when the points are stimulated to release the excess energy patient can feel slight pain for a few seconds.
16. Is there any chance of bleeding while needling?
If an experienced acupuncturist inserts the needles, normally bleeding does not occur at the time of insertion of the needle.
17. Is there any chance of bleeding while removing the needle?
Normally, there is no bleeding while removing the needles. However, in some instances, few drops may be found if a patient makes movements.
18. Can needles lead to AIDS or other diseases?
Pre-sterilized disposable needles are safe and discarded after a single use. So, there is no possibility of AIDS or other diseases because of needles.

All needles are pre-sterilized and disposed of after single use under the biomedical waste of the BMC collection center.

No. The good quality needles do not break easily.
21. What is electrical stimulation and who requires the stimulation?
In the past, practitioners would rotate and thrust the needle manually to provide stimulation. Nowadays, acupuncture is being enhanced by employing electrical stimulation. Based on the illness, the practitioner determines the type and necessity of stimulation.
22. What the patients are required to follow during treatment?
Patients must follow the “patient guidelines” while taking the treatment. They should follow the instructions given by acupuncturists related to lifestyle and diet.
23. What patient should wear for treatment sessions?
We advise patients to wear loose, comfortable clothes that they can roll up the sleeves above the elbows and roll up the pants to the knees.
24. Is acupuncture treatment suitable for diabetic patients?
That's correct. Acupuncture can be used as a treatment for Diabetes patients. It has been noticed that needle therapy can help regulate sugar levels.
25. Can the Patient take treatment empty stomach?
No. Patients should eat something before the treatment. You don't have to eat full meals, but grab some snacks for energy during treatment.
