Hepatomegaly (Enlargement of Liver)
Patient Details:
Female 38 years old
Problem Faced:
The doctor diagnosed her with Hepatomegaly. She complained of fatigue and nausea. Hepatomegaly is an enlarged liver, which means it's swollen beyond its usual size. An enlarged liver is a sign of an underlying problem, such as liver disease. Treatment involves identifying and controlling the cause of the condition. Her reports did not show any presence of tumors, hemangioma, or adenoma.
Treatment Adopted:
Her assessment was done based on the Acupuncture diagnosis procedure which include pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and enquiring. Based on diagnostic findings the acupuncture treatment plan was worked out and diet and lifestyle corrections were suggested.
Result:
During the treatment, there was a progressive change in her complaints of fatigue and nausea. After three months she was advised to get the USG. She was surprised to see in the USG that her enlarged liver had become normal. Her treatment was stopped and told her to follow the diet and regular checkups. In the next follow-up past year, she reported no symptoms of liver pathology.
