Trigeminal Neuralgia

Patient Details:
Female, 46 years old

Problem Faced:
The doctors diagnosed her with trigeminal neuralgia. Her jaw was painful, and she could not chew solid food. During the attack, she used to get a tremendous pain in her jaw and she could not open her mouth to drink any liquid. She was suffering for the past 25 years and because of an insufficient diet; she was undernourished, and she had developed multiple health issues.

Treatment Adopted:
Initially, I conducted a 20-day acupuncture course for him. Then I treated her on alternate days for around three months.

Result:
The continuous pain in her jaw stopped after the first 20 sessions. Later on, she noticed the improvements in the attacks as the treatment progressed. She could start eating solid foods and could chew form opposite jaw. By the end of treatment, she could eat food normally. I called her for follow up after three months. During the follow-up session, she informed she could eat and chew the food. In the past three months, she had a pain attack on two occasions, but it was manageable. She did not require medication.
