Primary Infertility (Thyroid Disease)
Patient Details:
Female, 34 years old
Problem Faced:
This was a case of primary infertility. She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and she was on medication for the past 4 years. She complained of irregular periods, hair fall, fatigue, irritability, and mood swings. She was not able to conceive. She had no other abnormalities in connection with fertility parameters.
Treatment Adopted:
She was treated with acupuncture and ear acupuncture to normalize Thyroid function. A 20 days course of acupuncture along with ear acupuncture was given.
Result:
Post-treatment her Thyroid function was checked and found it in the normal range. Her other symptoms were also subsided. Subsequently, after three normal monthly cycles, she was conceived naturally.
