Keratoconus

Patient Details:
Male, 32 years old

Problem Faced:
He was diagnosed with Keratoconus. Keratoconus is a condition when the normally round cornea becomes thin and develops a cone-like bulge. He complained of blurry and distorted vision and sensitivity to light and glare. He was required to change his specs frequently.
As per the conventional medical system, keratoconus can't be cured or reversed. But, depending on how advanced it is, there are treatments and solutions offered that can prevent progression and provide clear vision.

Treatment Adopted:
His assessment was done based on the Acupuncture diagnosis procedure which include pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and enquiring. Based on diagnostic findings the acupuncture treatment plan was worked out and diet and lifestyle corrections were suggested. He was advised for 15 sessions of acupuncture treatment on alternate days. This course was repeated after 10 days.

Result:
Post-treatment he reported that the reduction in the distortion in the vision was noticeable. The clarity of the vision improved. Post 6-month follow-up he reported the stability of the vision and he did not require to change the specs.
